Andy Berman NOT to be at InvaderCON

Well guys, I have bad news for you all… The voice of our beloved Dib is going to be busy and out of the state during the weekend of InvaderCON, based off of the information InvaderCON has released I’d say he’s going to be filming for Psych, I honestly don’t know anything about Psych, but apparently it involves a pineapple… Based off of that alone I became hesitant to find out what it was. I’ don’t know if Andy regrets not being able to attend (based off of last year’s fan reaction), but I know that the fans will will be disappointed that he can’t(based off of last years fan reaction).

Rodger Bumpass at DoomCON!!!!

Well, it’s been hinted at for a while, and it seems that it’s now official!!!  Rodger Bumpass will be attending DoomCON!!!!!! Rodger Bumpass was the voice of none other than Professor Membrane in Invader Zim!!! Professor Membrane is one of the most well loved supported characters. Not only was Professor Membrane the single father of Dib and Gaz, but he’s also accepted as one of the smartest (if not the smartest) people in the world. He has the brains to make a perpetual energy generator and super toast. And he’s entrusted with very important things, as he even has a crazy awesome lever that restores power to the Earth.

Rodger Bumpass is undoubtedly a very cool person. Born on November 20^th, 1951, he’s 60 years old and still voice acting like a pro. While he’s done stage, film, and voice acting since the sixties, as far as I can tell he only does voice acting now. He’s probably best known for his roles as Squidward in Spongebob Squarepants, and The Chief in Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? But we all know him as the guy who created super toast. Here’s an interesting piece of trivia I picked up: He was actually rumored to be dead in 2006, supposedly dying from heart surgery. His death was noted in the Arkansas State University (his college) alumni newsletter and IMDb (Internet Movie Database). He soon put a stop to those rumors and confirmed that he was in fact alive. I’m not quite sure how that happens, and where they found out he died, but he’s alive and well now, and it would really be neat to meet him at DoomCON!! From what InvaderCON has released so far Rodger will be at the Dinner of Doom, I’m Makin’ Waffles Breakfast, and he’ll be signing autographs!  So that’s one more thing to look forward to at DoomCON!

 

Jason Stiff at DoomCON, Who is Jason Stiff?

Invader Zim was a beginning for many people, Aaron Alexovich’s first professional art job was on Invader Zim, Jhonen’s first show, it was my first TV obsession, and Jason Stiff’s first Nickelodeon TV post production job. Jason Stiff has come a long way, in those 11 years, he’s now the vice president of post production for all of Nickelodeon’s cartoons! Post Production oversees things such as sound effects, editing, and music, getting them all in there and in there right. Jason Stiff has worked on multiple shows, and has done work at places other than Nickelodeon, he worked on a couple of episodes of King of The Hill in 1999, Charlotte’s Web  2- Wilbur’s Great Adventure in 2003, and much more. Jason was announced to appear at DoomCON to sign autographs and appear at the Dinner of Doom/I’m Making Waffles Breakfast.

This is good news for you as you get a chance to better understand the hard work that goes into our favorite show, and more tickets for the Dinner of Doom and the I’m Making Waffles Breakfast are to go on sale!!!!

DoomCON, Discounts, and Aaron Alexovich!

DoomCON. The once in a lifetime experience. Only happening one time. oh yeah, did I mention that it’s the second InvaderCON? The once in a lifetime experience, only happening one time? Oh well, they changed the name, that makes it different and one of a kind, maybe they’ll keep changing the name until all of the original cast dies. ZimCON next year, IZCON after that and so on. I’d be okay with that if it was every, two or three years maybe?

Well I might actually end up at DoomCON seeing as I seem to have convinced the old robo-parent we had a vacation to California scheduled then. But if you are planning to go to DoomCON you might want to hurry up and get some tickets, because the weekend pass discounts are down to $0 off. Yeah, you read that right (unless you didn’t) The discount passes are gone. So if you want a weekend pass you have to pony up fifty Earth moneys. That’s not all the bad news I have, the discount hotel rooms are sold out too. So if any of you can’t go due to that… Sorry, maybe at ZimCON or IZCon in a few years.

I do have SOME good news, Aaron Alexovich will be at DoomCON!!! He’s a comic-ist and character designer, he designed some awesome designs for Invader Zim, actually, his first professional art job was drawing some demented-looking kids for Invader Zim! He also did some designing for Avatar, the last Airbender. His artwork is pretty cool! He’s attending the Dinner of Doom, I’m Makin’ Waffles Breakfast, and he’ll be signing autographs throughout Saturday and Sunday at DoomCON! Oh yeah, and apparently sunlight makes him sneeze! I KNEW I wasn’t the only one affected by light that way!!!

I’M BACK YOU FILTHY EARTH CREATURES!

I’ve had to adjust to yet another new schedule, well try to adjust, I sort of gave up and then realized, “Omg I forgot about Pride of Irk” So I got on the computer and tried to do some stuff, had a new episode guide for you guys, and as I tried to upload it my computer crashed again, I think Tak must’ve crippled my base… But assuming the jolly fat green alien doesn’t sent me to my doom first, maybe he’ll get me a new computer!!!!

Then again maybe I’ll just play it safe and ask the robo parents… Anyone planning on going to InvaderCON? I’m not! Because they put it in California… Grrr…. Oh well enough moping here. Tickets for the I’m making waffles Breakfast and “Dinner of Doom” sold out VERY quickly, but there are still tickets for DoomCON at a discount of $10 off! Attack of the Saucer Morons Complete!

Okay so I am happy to say that even after three were deleted I was able to get one back up so please welcome the Attack of The Saucer Morons episode guide! As of now it seems there’s a minimal chance of me getting to InvaderCON II, DoomCON, all the way in Los Angeles, California, but I might brainwash the robo-parents into letting me take the Voot Cruiser there… If you still don’t know everything about InvaderCON, find out here. Pak Malfunction! (And omg California!)

I’m sooo sorry, but I still need a computer update, and it doesn’t look like I’ll be getting a new computer any time soon But I might get some help, Lia may be returning, and get this, InvaderCON 2 is going to be in California! Grr…. But hey, a little birdy told me that Jhonen’s going to be there! This will be interesting… *Eyes sparkle* I better be at this one! As of right now the ten dollars off weekend pass is the cheapest! So hurry up and order tickets!  Anyways I’ll try and get back up and running, and, I’ll also try to get Lia to run the Facebook page in my absence, I had three episode guides done yesterday, ready to post, but then my computer crashed and I didn’t have backups… o.o Oh well, at least I learned my lesson! Anyways, I’ll try and go easy with regular posts and an episode guide a week, so spread the word that the Pride of Irk is back! Even if I need a new PAK… Hey that rhymed!

DoomCON, How do YOU want it?

We still are yet to have answers about InvaderCON II, DoomCON. But we SHOULD get them this month, although if we did get answers and IC posted it on fb I wouldn’t be able to see it for a week… So keep me informed soldiers! There are four states that might be chosen, choose the one you want!

If you went to the first InvaderCON, is there anything you want changed? I wasn’t there so I can’t judge anything… I’m thinking of making a gnome outfit, from Zim’s garden, but then it’d be hard to hug-mob the cast… I’m a huge fan of Richard Horvitz, for more than just Zim, he’s great in all his work, so I’d probably spaz when I meet him… So vent about what you want in DoomCON here!
